Recently I was in New York and I had an opportunity to try some authentic Mexican food. I visited a restaurant called “El Vez” which was located in 259, Vesey Street, New York, NY 10282. The restaurant was decorated with Mexican colours and it gave you the feel that you are actually in Mexico.

I believe that when we talk about Mexican cuisine, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is Nachos. The restaurant had quite a selection of Nachos and their nachos were prepared with corn tortilla chips. I went for a vegetarian nachos dish, called “Nachos Mama”, having one of the most heavenly toppings combination of melted jack cheese, black beans, salsa ranchera, sour cream, pickled red onions and jalapeños.

From the picture you all can very well see that the portion size was huge, considering it was only a starter and was enough for one family. But since all the sightseeing had made me and my brother hungry, we happily ate all of that before our main course.  All the ingredients offered a freshness to the dish and despite so many flavour combination, the actual taste of the nachos was not lost. Each flavour topping provided a different dimension to the dish.

I have tried nachos in different places around the world but this by far has been my best nachos eating experience. If you are ever in New York, I would request you to take some time out for this Nachos Experience and I am sure you will not be disappointed. I am very sure that I am definitely revisiting this restaurant for these Nachos and hope that you all give it try too 🙂
