The travel bug bit me again and I decided to take on a European adventure this time around for my solo travel. My first stop was Zurich (Switzerland) where I stayed for five nights. I got very lucky and got a good deal with Hotel Swissnight by Fassbind located in Steinwiesstrasse 8-10, Zurichberg, Zurich, 8032 Switzerland. I paid CHF 651.50 for five nights including the property taxes. I know it is still on the expensive side but since I was traveling solo I prefer to stay in hotels than hostels and look for properties with more security and safety point of view.

The property was very well located. It was just a 5 minute walk from the nearest tram station and the main city centre of Zurich was just about 15-20 minutes walk away. I opted to walk on most of the days as the walk was pretty straightforward and it was good to explore the area on foot.
I want to share the my experience with the hotel. It is a boutique property located within the residential area. The hotel offers car parking if you are on a road trip. The staff was very friendly and would reply to your queries within a few hours.
I had opted for a single en-suite room. The room was designed in a way which amplified its Swiss charm. The bed was comfortable and despite of having a desk area in the room, it was very spacious. The hotel offered daily housekeeping and the complimentary tea/ coffee area was well equipped. It also offered a safety locker and an ironing station along with the iron.

The bathroom of the room was surprisingly very spacious. The hotel provided good quality of towels and also the daily basic toiletries. The in room wifi was pretty decent.

To summarise, I would say I was very lucky to have been able to experience this property. Despite being a 3 star hotel property it offers you all the comforts as well as the required safety and you do not feel you are missing out on anything. I hope you find this blogpost helpful and you do get to experience this property.
